Introducing the 838-SCSI card for your TI-99/4A and Myarc Geneve 9640 computers.  One of the best storage solutions brought back to life for 2024.

This expansion card has been in the works for quite some time and is now being offered to the community.  The once hard to get WHTSCSI card has been reworked to remove unused circuitry and correct some board errors.  This board is completely compatible with the original WHTSCSI Revision F expansion card.

Changes/Additions:

1> Removed one of the 50 pin IDC header connectors
2> A DB25 connector has been added to help allow for a more stable data transfer for IO and to address new devices that are using the industry standard DB25 connector such as the ZuluSCSI device.
3> Added a USB port for 5v power to power devices like SCS2SD or ZuluSCSI.

This card has been tested extensively with the TI-99/4A and Myarc Geneve 9640 computers.  The card has been tested to function with original spindle SCSI drives, EZ135 cartridge drives, SCSI2SD devices as well as the new ZuluSCSI device.

There will be a few options to choose from so please read the below:

Option #1: Fully assembled and tested 838-SCSI Board (Blue board with standard HASL contacts)
Option #2: Full Assembled and tested 838-SCSI Board (Blue board with standard HASL contacts) but without the SCSI Controller IC, you must source that yourself or have one already to plug on the board.

There is a limited option that is fully assembled and tested 838-SCSI board Limited (White board with Gold contacts and machined sockets) - There will only be a handful of these on the site to be purchased.

838-SCSI Limited Edition (shift838.com)

Users can choose between 'dual wipe' and 'machined' sockets for options 1 and 2.

No bare PCBs or DIY kits will be sold due to previous user errors.

What you will need for your board.  If using a DB25 connection you will need a DB25 male to male cable straight through, every wire needs to be connected 1-1, 2-2, etc.
